Jayne’s Luxury Rentals is a world class vacation rental company in Canada, inspired by the natural beauty of Muskoka and a mission to go the extra mile for every guest. With luxury homes and high touch concierge service, the brand lives by “Our reason for being is to serve our guests.” I created the brand and visual guidelines, then redesigned the Jayne’s Cottage webpage with a clean, modern, and elegant style so guests can understand the offer quickly and book with confidence.

CHALLANGES
The main challenge was that the old website looked messy and dated, so it did not feel luxury or match Jayne’s warm, high end guest experience. The hero and menu were not clear, the footer felt crowded, and the layout had little spacing, which made the content hard to scan and the brand feel less premium. The booking system was also hard to use, with an unclear flow that made it difficult for guests to complete a booking quickly and with confidence.

I solved this by rebuilding the page with a clean, modern style using updated fonts, stronger hierarchy, and more white space to create a luxury feel. I redesigned the hero to clearly show the value and make booking actions easy, and I simplified the menu so users can find key pages faster. I added new sections that highlight Jayne’s welcoming mission and concierge level service, using clear content blocks and strong visuals. I also rebuilt the footer from scratch, organizing links and details with proper spacing so it looks polished, easy to scan, and consistent with a high end brand.

Use a premium neutral base like ivory, warm stone, and mist grey with plenty of white space, letting bright natural photography lead the experience. Choose one strong primary accent inspired by the landscape, deep lake blue or evergreen, for key actions like Book Now, Inquire, and Concierge, and add muted supporting tones, sand, sage, bronze, and sky, to gently separate sections without feeling busy. Pair an elegant serif for headlines with a clean sans serif for body text to balance timeless charm and modern clarity, and keep layouts minimal with clear hierarchy. Use rounded, polished components with soft shadows, large tap friendly buttons, and subtle transitions, plus reassuring micro feedback during booking and inquiries, so every detail communicates extra mile hospitality and the promise, “Our reason for being is to serve our guests.”
